Iara Santos

Lighting designer and design team lead

Seven years in architectural lighting. I do photometric design, fixture and control specification, and the full documentation set that gets a lighting project built. I lead a six-person team through roughly 250 active projects a year on the manufacturer side, across residential, commercial, corporate, institutional and healthcare.

If your studio has more projects than documentation capacity, that is the gap I fill.

Available for remote lighting work across U.S. and European time zones.

I have worked fully remote and async-first since 2019. I manage full project phases on my own, from brief through construction close-out, and coordinate with architects, contractors and MEP consultants across time zones.

Open to contract, freelance and long-term engagements. If what you see here is the kind of thinking and documentation your team needs, write to me.
